This one of the first iconic scary movies, that got a whole franchise started. It was scary, but intense, with a few funny moments.
The film starts with Sidney, and young woman in high school, getting ready for her future, after her mother's rape and murder. Her boyfriend, Billie, sneaks through the window to see her.
The next day, everybody is talking about a girl and her boyfriend, both who were brutally murdered. This brings back a lot of painful memories for Sidney.
